Colour helps create a consistent and recognisable visual identity for NSW Government emails. It reinforces the brand, improves visual cohesion across communications, and supports accessibility for all users.
The brand palette in the NSW Email Design System uses the NSW Government colour system. It includes the same ten colour sets—green, teal, blue, purple, fuchsia, red, orange, yellow, brown and grey—with four tonal steps (01 to 04).
Each colour has a ready-to-use token (for example, nsw-blue-600) with values provided in HEX, RGB, HSL and OKLCH formats. These tokens support a smooth handover between design and development.
