Spacing

The NSW Design System uses an 8-point spacing scale to maintain consistent spacing and visual balance throughout the interface. This modular system applies increments of 8 pixels (e.g. 8, 16, 24, 32) to margins, padding and layout elements.

Spacing Scale

Our spacing system is built on a base unit of 4px. All spacing values are set as multiples of this base, allowing for predictable, scalable and consistent layouts. This system supports visual rhythm across components and ensures alignment with the 8-point grid, particularly in email templates and responsive layouts.
